It is the new ultimate haven for sports and recreation, as it houses nearly every leisure activity imaginable, for both the young and the young at heart. A Country Club membership affords its members and their guests the use of all the modern facilities of the club. The Splendido Taal Country Club (STCC) is a collaboration of two well respected realty companies: Sta. Lucia Land, Inc., headed by their President Exequiel Robles, and Jaka Tagaytay Holdings Corporation headed by Katrina Ponce Enrile. The Club’s architecture was designed by W.V.Coscoluella & Associates, while the interior was designed by Songsong & Periquet. Situated on a ridge overlooking Taal Lake, and is just 5 minutes away from the City of Tagaytay, the project brief called for taking advantage of the precious views and vista. The site plan and outdoor amenities were oriented as such allowing members and visitors breathtaking views of the lake and volcano on one side and the golf course and the mountain on the other. According to Efren Aurelio, Chief Designer of EA Aurelio Landscape Architects (EAALA), “the most significant features of the project are its elevation and the cool crisp air of Tagaytay.” Taking advantage of the land’s sloping terrain, the STCC has a multi-level pool with its own tier system. The shallow pool cascades a six (6)-meter high waterwall down to the tree-lined main pool, which is situated on a lower elevation. At the east end of the main pool is a kiddie pool where children can splash the heat away. The Californian mission-style look of the clubhouse structure is well complemented by the landscape all around the development. A classic water fountain adorns the center of a courtyard where beautiful shade tolerant plant species thrive. The Country Club amenities includes: locker rooms with jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath & massage, a Fitness Center w/ state-of-the art gym equipment, restaurants offering a variety of international specialty cuisines, a KTV bar, two (2) indoor badminton courts with taraflex flooring, a wood-floored indoor basketball court, an eight (8)-lane bowling center, an indoor tennis court with shell flooring, indoor table tennis, children's recreation and learning center, an infinity swimming pool, pro-shop, an internet cafe and gaming room, business center, etc. STCC had its soft opening on April of 2011 and is led by seasoned hotelier Darvin Chia as the General Manager, a young, dynamic and well experienced hotelier. Working with GM Chia are experienced personnel coming from respected hospitality industries in the country. When it comes to events, Splendido Taal Country Club is focused on organizing family oriented events where teamwork is given more emphasis than individual competition. The events held at the club are not limited to traditional sporting club events but also, Fashion Show, Musical Band Competitions, Tattoo and Skateboarding competitions among others. The Country Club caters to its associate members, who are the lot/home and condo owners. Limited membership slots for the public is now available for reservation. Indeed, the club boasts of brand new high-end recreational and business facilities and employs seasoned and skilled personnel.
